Hey folks, just a quick note to mention I'm headed out shortly. This will be my first long ride on the Connie since getting it running again, and my first 200 plus mile day in way too long. Headed to a CMA chapter I haven't visited in a while-great guys and gals, and then a friend's Memorial for his Dad and then an errand.
Unfortunately it will be mostly super-slab, but a chance to let the bike run and try the mod I did last night to the throttle lock. More tonight when I get back and get done with some "honey-do's". And hopefully will be announcing a new affiliate marketing deal which I hope you'll find useful!
A blog about motorcycles, riding, motorcycle maintenance, customizing and working on bikes, bike rides I have done and bike shops I have visited while traveling. Oh yeah, it's about bikes.

BikeBandit having a big sale on tires!
Got my e-mail notification that BikeBandit is having a pretty big sale on tires for a few days.
For example, Michelin Pilot tires are up to 40% off. I've always found the tires friends and I have gotten from BikeBandit to be in good shape, ship quickly and mount and ride as well as store bought.
In fairness, let me point out that I'm an affiliate marketer for BikeBandit, and if you go to their webpage via a link on this page, I do get a small commission.

To the searcher on changing newer Sportster oil tanks
If the person who searched for changing an oil tank on a 2004 or a newer model (guessing a 2003 or newer?) sees this, please post in the comments of my oil tank change post what the rear fender bolt positioning is like. My 99 was a pita to get the top rear bolt out and retightened because of fender clearance issues.
Thanks!
Thanks!
