Its my last weekend at home. As usual, everything becomes either a last minute to-do item, or the "last time I will" fill in the blank here. Had a good motorcycle ride yesterday although the reason for it wasn't so good-memorial services for a female biker married to a leader in one of the clubs here. Afterwards had a very nice send-off by most our CMA chapter and a few folks from a sister chapter.
Hanging out today with the kids, as its good to spend a little more time with them, and also its raining and cool-what passes for winter here in San Diego. Our temps are a lot like Iraq's right now-I'm fortunate to be deploying before it gets 100+ degrees hot.
Next post will be from either Kuwait or Victory-

John, we are very proud of you. You are a soldier in the military but more importantly, you are a soldier for Jesus. You will be lifted up daily in our prayers for safety and that God uses you in a very powerful way while you are over there. We will miss you and we love you but we will see you shortly. We will take care of your bike..by the way, does he/she have a name? Love your brother & sister in Christ, Glen & Penny : )
John, I imagine it will be a day or two before you read any comments on your blog...given the length of time you will be traveling. We prayed for you before breakfast this morning and will continue to do so until you return [then you are on your own :)] We will look forward to your updates. Will you still want the Newsletter...and how should we send it?
May God hold you in His hand!
